Technology: Google Wave

Have you heard the newest and coolest application ever invented on the web. Well if not you need to watch this video to understand.

Technology is just keeps on getting better and better this day. They way of communication getting more and more simpler than before. On this demo by the Google wave team, they have demonstrated on how can a simple message be a collaborative work by a group of person who's on what they called "Wave". They have presented cool extensions like bug tool reporting which is link to a bug tool server. The blogger api in which you can update your blog using this application. And the most coolest extension is the translator called "Rosy". It translate the word for word as you type it. They also have an extension to update your twitter tweets.

This will change on hoe we usually communicate with friend and colleagues. For now the Google wave account is currently limited in preview. You would need to ask for an invite before you can get an account or have your existing google account activated for this service.

And one of the coolest part of this is that it is open-source, you can have you own Google Wave server setup on your own data center and use it internally. But you're not limited to internal communications because you can still communicate outside your internal Wave server on the Google Wave server. How cool is that. I think this was Google will never worry on expanding their servers for multiple users. Organizations can just have their own servers internally.

This is really amazing and I can't wait to try it on my own. Just need to wait for their response on the invitation request.
